Creative movement, restorative play, mindfulness, therapeutics, and self-expression through YOGA & ART.
Emma Berger-Singer has been working with children in a variety of settings for over 15 years. She received her Elementary Education degree from Warren Wilson College, holds a 250-hour yoga certification, and is a Certified Somatic Therapy Practitioner.
As a children’s art teacher for many years, Emma loves finding ways to help children connect with their creativity. Over the years she has seen the many therapeutic benefits of combining two of her passions, yoga and art. She loves using these modalities to help children explore the unique and creative gifts they have to share within themselves and the world around them. Through these practices of movement and making, Emma hopes children have fun and gain essential tools that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives.
Emma loves spending time with her partner and three young children, moving and calming her body through yoga and intuitive movement, playing with watercolor and other art mediums, and cultivating community. She is so excited to continue connecting with families and sharing her experience, knowledge, and creativity with the community! Emma is the founder of Asheville Kids Yoga & Art where she offers community classes, 1:1 therapeutic and private sessions, school programs, and special events.

Through creative movement, restorative play, mindfulness, therapeutics, and self-expression this series helps children increase mind and body awareness, strength, flexibility, focus, and creativity. Children will learn tools for self-regulation, build social-emotional skills, and practice a variety of breath work and mindfulness techniques to use throughout their daily lives.
We will use art as a means to expand and deepen this practice as we explore a variety of art mediums. Our artwork will be inspired by what we experienced through our meditations, visualizations, breathing exercises and yoga poses. This combination of Yoga & Art helps to guide children in self-exploration and self-expression as we get to know the world within and around us.
Parents will drop children off so that they can explore creative yoga sequences and mindful-making with gentle guidance from their instructor.
